MAN OF CINEMA
Emotionally heartbreaking film which highlights the collective culture of
bullying and discrimination and how it shapes one's adulthood. But when the school principal stepped in to handle bullying, the accountability became an immediate threat the social dynamic shifted with predatory speed. The entire ecosystem didn't collapse it simply selected a scapegoat (Shoya) he was instantly ripped and thrown to the bottom which effects him psychologically so much that it pushes him to the edge of suicide and isolates him from the society. Also the fact that the girl was deaf , mute and sensitive the whole situation felt more oppressive and brutal which will break you. This film is not just about Shoya's journey about making amends with Shoko and his friendship with her, it’s about surviving together the wreckage of a social machine that chews up the vulnerable, weaponizes the cruel, and abandons the broken ones. Also the biggest irony of "A silent voice" is silence is more powerful than the words spoken in this film. Nishimiya is deaf and mute yet she is the only character in the entire story who genuinely knows how to listen, rest all characters whenever spoke always tries to shield themselves and to deceive, deflect blame, and to protect their own fragile egos. They speak in volumes but hear absolutely nothing outside of their own self-interest. They are so deafened by their own pride, guilt, and social anxieties that they completely fail to hear the crying souls right next to them. This film is about redemption through beautiful friendship in a world which is rotting in its own noise and forgotten how to listen to the voices of vulnerable, oppressed and bullied.

A great film showing how the scar of trauma could lead to catastrophic
consequences. It follows a deaf girl who was bullied by one of her classmate. How she could never overcome

This is a good coming of age story of depression, bullying, friendships,
teenage mistakes and teen suicide. Many issues have been shown in the movie in a very good way, which I
