Anpodu Kanmani explores the emotional struggles of couples unable to conceive,
but it leans heavily on sentimentality and relatability. However, it fails to bring anything fresh or new to the audience. Many of the comedy scenes feel somewhat forced, and the melodramatic moments tend to be overly exaggerated. In contrast, Sooraj Tom’s film Vishesham (2024), which tackles the same theme, presents the situation in a more balanced and effective way compared to Anpodu Kanmani.
