The film revolves around a girl named Tillie, who doesn’t share a good relationship with her father. After his death, his spirit becomes visible to the family through mirrors—except to Tillie. Watching the chaos and hilarious situations the family goes through to release his spirit is genuinely entertaining. The storyline is crisp and smartly written, follows a linear narrative, and the comedy is spot on. The film explores themes of ignorance, loss, attachment, acceptance, moving on, haunting, and family bonding. I really liked the core concept—a dead dad who refuses to accept that he’s gone and keeps communicating with his family through mirrors. Overall, D(e)AD balances humor and emotions well and works as a light-hearted, fun-filled film worth checking out.
