The Revenge lives up to the world and atmosphere created in the first part. The main goal of this film is to give a proper and polished ending to the story. The story is told across six chapters, which keeps the narrative structured and engaging. Just like the first film, this one also has strong detailing in the writing. Unlike the first part, where the romantic portions felt a bit slow, this movie doesn’t have any lag. While the first part mainly depended on Akshaye Khanna’s performance, this film is largely carried by Ranveer Singh. Every character and subplot that was introduced earlier gets a proper and sharp conclusion here. Another interesting aspect is how the writing blends real-life political situations from India into the story. These elements are shown more boldly. The tension-filled scenes and adrenaline-pumping moments are perfectly placed, keeping the viewer hooked throughout. The director deserves credit for closing the story without leaving any subplot unexplored. Overall, A perfect conclusion to the duology that sets a new benchmark for Indian spy films, staying engaging throughout its 3 hour 55 minute runtime.
