My Review of Madraasi (Tamil Movie):
Today, I watched Madraasi, a Tamil movie
directed by A.R. Murugadoss, and I would rate it 4.5 out of 5. The movie is exceptionally well-written and brilliantly executed. It’s a near-perfect genre film with a seamless mix of action, love, emotion, and storytelling. Everything about the film worked — except for the climax, which left me a bit unsatisfied.
Until the pre-climax, the movie is 100% worth watching. The content is intense and engaging. The storyline revolves around a mentally challenged boy who goes to extreme lengths for the girl he loves — and his journey is simply amazing. The action sequences, stunts, and fights were incredibly well done, especially the scenes driven by animal instinct, which were both raw and powerful.
Sivakarthikeyan delivers a standout performance, and Rukmini Vasanth’s portrayal of love was beautiful and believable. Vidyut Jammwal as the villain was also a perfect choice — his villainy was intense and well-balanced with the story. The NIA subplot and other side elements were well-integrated and added to the film without feeling random.
The only downside for me was the climax. It felt slightly dragged and didn’t quite deliver the same impact as the rest of the movie. But everything leading up to it was just perfect.
Now, coming to the main highlight — Anirudh’s music. It was absolutely phenomenal. The BGM elevated every scene, whether it was the villain’s entry, the love scenes, the breakup, or the emotional moments. His music is something that can only be truly experienced in a theatre — it was a theatrical blast!
Overall, Madraasi is a must-watch in theatres. It’s a perfect mix of everything and definitely not to be missed!
