the story itself? not particularly compelling.
if you strip away the dog's POV thing, you're left with a pretty standard narrative that wouldn't stand on its own merits.
the sound design deserves special criticism. for a film that relies so heavily on a dog's sensory experience, the audio work could have been significantly better. it was just... loud. hollow.
an okay watch if you're curious about the dog POV experiment or if you're a dog lover willing to feel a bit unsettled for the sake of seeing the world through canine eyes. indy carries the entire film on his furry shoulders, and he does his job well. but this is very much a "watch once out of curiosity" situation rather than something i'd recommend enthusiastically.
