"When the Dog Sees Ghosts Before the Humans Do”
This 1 hour 13 minute movie is
told completely from the dog’s point of view, making the dog the true main character of the story. One of the most impressive parts of the film is how well the crew has trained the dog to act almost like a human character. The dog’s expressions, reactions, and movements add a unique charm and make the film feel different from usual horror movies.
Even though the horror element is present throughout, the real feeling we get while watching is shaped by the dog’s behaviour — how dog senses danger, how he reacts to strange noises, and how he tries to protect his owner. The emotional bond between the dog and his master is shown well. The pacing of the movie is slow. The script spends time showing how the dog sees and hears things that humans cannot.
When it comes to the story, there isn’t much surprise. The plot is built on a small idea and developed only for a short duration. The twist in the climax is there, but it isn’t very shocking or unexpected.
A simple, slow-paced horror film made special by its dog-led storytelling.
