Good storyline.
Even better cast. But there was something off with the final product. I struggled to get through the first half because I didn’t know what was happening and where it was leading to. The only reason I continued watching was because I thought there has to be something good in the story for Fahad and Vadivel to pick this movie. And then pieces started falling into place in the second half.
For anyone who plans to watch this movie, please stick through to the second half. It does get better.

#Maareesan has left me conflicted.
It boasts of a heartfelt first hour but a woefully generic second hour, anchored only by the brilliance of the Fafa-Vadivelu combo that makes

decent slow burn thriller with awesome performances.
Could have been a great film if the execution was a little more inventive but Vadivelu and FaFa saved the day!

I really liked the movie.
But... the impact that should have been a banger (like the treatment in Maharaja) ended up going out with a whimper.

Fafa did a role very similar to Thondimuthalum and vettiyan. Felt a bit artificial and not a trademark fafa. Meanwhile Vadivelu on the

Started out as something, became something unexpected & extremely farfetched.
I would loved to see a better plot line. FaFa was underused massively. Sad, could’ve been much better.
