A decent spy action movie, but definitely a different experience compared to
the first instalment.
This one feels more like a straightforward Bollywood masala spy entertainer. There's action, explosions and plenty of over-the-top moments, but the storytelling and antagonist don't quite leave the same impression. The villain felt pretty weak, although Tom Cruise once again proves that his screen presence is enough to carry the movie.
The title sequence was fantastic, and the BGM was great too. Cinematography deserves appreciation, but seriously, WHY SO MUCH RED? Everything is RED! 😭
Overall, a pretty decent spy action entertainer with some entertaining moments, but it doesn't quite match the first movie for me.
