The other layer follows a rumor that a dog has rabies, which creates fear among the villagers. Both these tracks connect cleverly and build the tension in an engaging way. One of the most interesting parts of the film is how the dog’s portion is shown from the dog’s point of view. Many everyday conversations in the Palakkad slang turn funny because of the clever writing and natural performances. The chaotic fight scenes between the villagers are hilarious and well staged. As the film moves towards the climax, the dog’s storyline turns into something like a “man vs wild” survival situation. Overall, this is a unique and realistic satirical film.
