Rachel McAdams what a Performance! Send Help starts like a fun survival setup,
but it slowly turns into this wonderfully messed-up, almost-horror ride where you’re laughing one minute and feeling uneasy the next. It’s basically a battle of personalities on a stranded island, and watching Linda take control is honestly so satisfying. The movie quickly tells you that Linda is a “survivor” type in the simplest way - little hints that make you go, “Okay, she’s built for this.” It also makes it clear that Linda and Bradley are total opposites, so even before the big disaster, you can feel the clash coming. In the beginning, it’s genuinely fun as it sets everything up, but you also feel bad for Linda because she’s being treated unfairly at work. Then the plane crash happens, and suddenly the film feels like it’s about to enter a completely different zone (especially if you’re watching it in something like 4DX - this is that kind of movie moment) I loved how Linda slowly breaks Bradley’s ego and attitude while still keeping things entertaining, like she’s teaching him a lesson but the movie doesn’t become boring or preachy. And the more it goes on, the more the film gets… mad in a really fun way - like it’s smiling at you while also being kind of creepy. Rachel McAdams is just so good here, and she has this screen presence where even a quiet moment can feel memorable (and yes, she looks stunning too). Dylan O’Brien works really well as Bradley because even when he’s not saying much, his expressions are doing a lot of the talking. There are scenes that made the whole theatre laugh, but the comedy sometimes comes from this creepy feeling underneath - like you’re laughing and then going, “Wait… why am I scared right now?” By the end, it genuinely feels close to horror-comedy territory, and I loved that the movie wasn’t afraid to go a little dark and crazy.

Watched it in Dolby 3D in the flat aspect ratio at Prasad's PCX and technically
this was a really good 3D experience on that humongous 100ft wide and 64ft tall screen. Directed
