minutes and doesn’t really let you go. It starts with an event that instantly pulls you in, and from there, it just keeps getting more and more interesting. Can we please talk about how colourful this film is? The setting, the production design, the way each location looks – it’s all so vibrant and full of life. The film is fun. It’s weird, it’s wild, but it’s fun. I really liked how the events keep unfolding. Every time you think, “Okay, now I know where this is going,” the film throws something new at you. The way the different stories and characters cross paths makes the film more and more interesting as it goes on. Also, those silent and awkward moments between characters? They were oddly entertaining. There are scenes where nobody is saying much, but you can feel everything – the tension, the confusion, the discomfort. And somehow, it makes you smile or laugh a little, because it all feels very real and human. It is honestly impossible to pick just one actor and say, “This person was the best.” Super Deluxe has some of the finest actors, and everyone brings something special. That said, Vijay Sethupathi deserves a special mention – wow. What a performance. The way he plays his character is so honest and heartfelt that you just can’t look away. He makes you feel so many things at once: sadness, empathy, admiration, even humour at times. But it’s not just him. Everyone in this film seems perfectly chosen for their role, and they all do a great job. One of the most interesting parts of the film is how the relationships between characters keep changing. As the film goes on, you see people react to new situations, and their equations shift in surprising ways. This is especially true in the case of Fahadh Faasil and Samantha’s characters. Their track is fascinating because it’s not just about drama – it’s also about ego, trust, judgment, and how people see each other when things go wrong. There are moments in their story that are shocking, where you literally go, “Wait… what just happened?” The film doesn’t keep their relationship static; it keeps poking at it, twisting it, and that makes it really engaging to watch. Then there’s the storyline with the three teenagers. There is a certain moment in that track where you literally go, “What, what, whatttt???” It’s unexpected, a bit crazy, and very “Super Deluxe” in the sense that the film keeps testing how far it can push your reactions. Their story starts off in a somewhat simple, almost typical way, but then it suddenly jumps into a whole different zone. Now, to be honest, the length of the film might not work for everyone. It is a long film and there is a lot happening. At times, you might feel, “This is getting a bit too much,” especially if you’re not used to multi-story films. But at the same time, the length feels somewhat understandable because of how many stories are being told. The fun part is connecting the dots – watching all these different threads slowly start touching each other. It’s like putting together a puzzle. By the time you reach the end, you don’t just feel like you watched separate tracks; you feel like you went through one big, mad experience that actually has something thoughtful to say.
