A piece of shit serial killer who takes himself way too seriously, and believes he is creating art with his every killing. This movie is a standout because of two reasons, one is obviously Matt Dillon's performance and the other important reason is the genius mind of Lars Von Trier. His approach to telling a brutal, insensitive, and disgusting is almost fascinating and intriguing. With the effort details he puts in his story explaining different behaviourisms and ideologies, the conflicts of art, politics , religion and morals. He instils all this in this story which actually saves it from becoming a boring film.
