The Sheep Detectives

this movie does that most cutest way possible. Its not your usual murder mystery with heavy dark comedy and brutality, instead the mystery here is rather more cliche and the one where you will end up saying I don't care who the killer is, i just want to see these Sherlock Sheeps do their cute wholesome things. I was afraid the CGI/animation of sheeps will throw me off, but the sheep's realism is so overwhelming that I can't tell them apart from the other characters! And I'm not referring to the animation or drawing itself, but rather the realistic way they make their comments, and movements. Each sheep had its own identity and personality, sheep's diverse character writing completely made me forget they're animals stripped of their identity and following a flock; but I'm not surprised, as the director made the Minions films and has extensive experience creating characters similar in appearance but completely different and unique in their essence as individuals. and you will love that aspect here too. The investigation scenes were rather more silly and goofy, but what was hilarious was the involvement of sheep and how they solved the mystery. guessing the culprit wasn't important to me; and I ignored the mystery. However, the scene of the sheep discovering the slaughterhouse left me in a dilemma, a piece of subtle dark comedy that leaves you unsure whether to laugh or cry. It's a funny, charming, and emotional feel good movie which you need to go through this miserable life.
