The Virgin Suicides

The souls of teenagers are gentle, curious, eager and always yearning for love. I really loved the portrayal of these 5 troubled beautiful sisters trapped within a narrow conservative world oppressed by the parents with a severe pressure and strict parenting Which made them unable to hold onto any hope that they might find happiness as adolescents , when every door was closed to open the way of freedom and love, they sought to liberate themselves through suicide. It was a very heavy, somber movie, but the aesthetics and Cinematography was more dreamy, like the siblings have forgotten the touch of what's reality and what's dream. Because their eyes were full of love and dreams, but their body was constrained with something which they did not understand and could not cope with it, they liberated their souls from the body in order to get what they yearned. I also loved how the film precisely critiques the male gaze and how certain men are unable to see women as complex human beings due to the way they dress or behave or the expectations they have from them.
