Vash level 2, written and directed by Krishnadev Yagnik, is a tightly written
and directed no nonsense supernatural and psychological horror film that cuts right to the chase without wasting even a single second of it's 103 minute runtime.
There are no filler scenes and every scene added something to the movie as a whole. The atmosphere is brilliantly setup with girls of a school getting possessed in mysterious circumstances leading to them wrecking havoc over the city of Ahmedabad.
The total chaos is unhingedly shown and the choreography by Irfan Khan along with long shots captures the creepiness and fear.
The way the movie connects itself to its first part is very organic and it is so natural unlike the forced sequel trends we've been witnessing recently. The story unfolds with events succeeding a 12 year time jump. The interval is very well designed and the way the setup to the first half is dealt with in the second half is very commendable.
The music by Andrew Samuel and the sound design were brilliant in a very eerie way. The theatre was thumping with vibrations making you feel the anxiety.
Shivam Butt's editing is very crisp and the cinematography by Prashant and Haresh is good.
The acting performances are so so good. Hitu Kanodia is brilliant as the father. His character is so confident on the screen, and the weight that he has been carrying for 12 years is translated so well. The subtle ways of his dealing with the antagonist and the pain and the sense of what once was a happy family life now ruined to irreparable extent can be seen on Hitu's face.
Janki Bodiwala reprising her role, Aarya, has very little screentime but she was so brilliant in the scenes she had. A very creepy painful smile lingering on her face and her performance in the climax was incredible.
Monal is good in her role and Hiten Kumar is damn good in a very important role. He commands great screen presence and performs his role with ease.
I haven't watched the original Gujarati prequel to this movie but I've watched the Hindi remake (Shaitaan) and read about the differences between the two. Yet I could connect with Vash level 2, the Gujarati sequel to its original (Vash).

Vash 2 is a gripping cinematic experience that dares to tread where few Indian
films venture. From the very beginning, the film establishes a bold and unhinged tone, keeping

It is thrilling for sure.
Has so many gripping moments that would give you goosebumps. I wish they had written the climax in a better way. Otherwise no complaints.

Boasting of wonderful performances, #VashLevel2 is a solid followup to #Vash
despite a stumble at the finishing line. So if you do choose to watch it, do manage your expectations
