MAN OF CINEMA
An emotionally wrecking ball which neither provides an answer nor a fitting
ending, instead it jolts you by narrating the story of betrayal of trust and love, and a complex state of judicial system which believes in the truth but still can't provide justice, leaving the victims traumatized and tortured again and again with tedious interrogations and repeating same horror again.
I love how the film constructs the plot of the story, Entire film set in court, it uses victims and defendant statements to the judge to involve us into the disturbing story of this family fighting case of children's custody. The screenplay is very tense and constantly moving with its dialogues pushing the intensity to a different level every time. It is so tightly focused and don’t waste a minute of a tight running time and the performances brilliantly support the screenplay.
It's a thrilling movie that leaves a lingering question in your hearts and in mind, how these cases are suppressed, ignored and let down by the fragile justice system.
