yeon sieun... i think we are kindred spirits. he's one of the most compelling protagonists i've ever encountered. the antithesis of every typical action hero. what struck me most was how the show explores what real strength means. sieun is strong because he refuses to be broken by a system designed to crush people like him. the friendships in this show also destroyed me completely.
this is a show about survival, about finding your own definition of strength, and about the devastating failure of systems meant to protect vulnerable students. it shows you exactly how ugly and damaging violence is without glorifying it. it's uncomfortable. it's heartbreaking. it is an absolute must watch for people that enjoy drama as a genre. big, big fan.
