MAN OF CINEMA
A brilliant, brutal and distressing dissection of rotten marriage and the
illusions we carry to keep it going. Only few movies encapsulate the emotions of dead relationships so succinctly, and here as every minute you start to see the shit hitting the fan and it gets only ugly, dark and drowning. It is full of angst and anger and vindictiveness where both characters try to tear each other up at every second.
Also what makes this film a true masterpiece is because of the incredibly interesting fact that the actors playing the married couple, Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton, had been married for two years in real life when filming this. They would divorce eight years later in 1974, remarried in 1975, and divorce again in 1976. I can only imagine what effect this movie has made on their lives. Both of their performances in this film are unhinged and chaotic.

An all time classic gem.
The greatest platonic movie i guess. Got into a ride that i never have thought of and made every moment of it worthwhile. Shattered me in the end.
