28 Days Later really shook up the zombie genre—even though technically, yeah,
they’re not zombies. But once that intensity hits, you honestly won’t care.
From the haunting shots of an empty London to those heart-pounding run-ins with the infected, the film grabs you fast and hard. What makes it stand out is that raw, handheld camera work and the eerie soundtrack—it almost feels like you’re watching a gritty, real-life doc.
Beyond all the chaos, there’s a surprising emotional layer too. It’s not just about surviving; it’s about holding onto your humanity when everything’s gone sideways. The second half shifts more into psychological thriller territory, and that actually gives it an extra punch of depth.
