Marvel Marathon #40
A surprisingly well made film that is funny, entertaining
and interesting but has its own flaws.
First of all, I am just gonna ignore the fact that they handled Doom like that. Let's just ignore it.
The world-building was pretty fantastic. The acting performances were brilliant. The characters' connection and depth was great. The emotional angle worked pretty well. The character of Victor was very cliched and underwhelming. The funny moments were extremely well done. The superpowers were exquisitely explored and depicted. The film is entertaining and you will never get bored, even for a minute.
But what the film missed is its intensity, thrill, more seriousness and a scary villain and a much larger exploration of the concept of the film and some flashbacks of reed and doom in childhood so that we could have connected more with the present resentment of Doom over reed.
The CGI and VFX were extraordinary for a 2005 film.
Chris Evans was so good man. He was funny the whole time. Human Torch was amazing. I don't think Joesph could match what Evans did in this film dude.
