Does real love, idealistic people, individual happiness and desires exist in
the controlled construct of society? Especially in the institution of marriage where two are bound forever to each other and seemed it as perfect union. Agnes really tries to tell the story of the idealistic world, where she created this perfect imagery filling happy warm colors like paintings, happy souls and a happy couple with two kids. And When the husband falls in love with another woman, even though he loves her wife. Agnes tried to establish a happy Polyamory relationship where all three are in consent only right up to the moment where everything comes crashing down. That ending just leaves you in utter shock. Agnes doesn't explore the idea that most of us get watching this, why is this guy who is so happy with his family and loves his wife and kids will go and have an affair with another woman??? Why is he committing this sin? But what made this declare as sin? Its our boundaries that we created in marriage, saying its most perfect union of two people and there can't be another person in it. Well agnes shows exactly that, even though he loves them, he also loves his lover Emile, which should be normal? People in this construct society struggle with the idea that some hearts long for more love than one partner could provide, but this world agnes created tries to accept that basic reality but soon realises that not everyone is built that way. not even in the perfect world which agnes created. We as humans are flawed and filled with jealousy, insecurities and fear, hence the consequence at the end. It’s easy to judge people who make decisions outside of their own wants and desires. Love is not a coded program. The heart wants what it wants and One person’s utopia could be another person’s nightmare. Our hearts all have their own individual needs that others may not understand. Agnes realises that so very well and shows those kinds of people can never achieve their idealistic life in this shallow world.
