This is not my fav Lynne Ramsay movie, but somehow i feel this was Lynne's most
personal film in some ways. It's a dark movie that is carried by the performance of Sam Morton. The content and style may not appeal to everyone but i loved it in bits and pieces. I also loved the choice of music in this film, it kind of creates a sense of isolation and loneliness, which makes you wonder about what's going on in her mind. Despite Morton's intimately-grounded and unique performance. I found myself thinking about the character more than the film as a whole. I was more interested in her thoughts and psyche, which film did not explore, instead the film took her on a journey which did provide me anything. But if you get on its emotional wavelength (which could be hard). You might enjoy the journey she takes in the later part. For me it could have been a great character study, but the movie took a different route.
