Movie Lover
Pariwar tries to be a fun take on family greed, but it ends up feeling more
like a long, messy skit than an actual movie. The idea had promise, but the execution is all over the place—awkward tone, over-the-top performances, and a storyline you can see coming a mile away. The direction by Ulsav Rajeev and Fahad Nandu just doesn’t click. Scenes that should’ve been funny or emotional come off flat and forced. Jagadish and Prashanth Alexander try to bring some energy as the bickering brothers, but the writing turns them into full-blown caricatures. Even Indrans, who's usually great, is left stranded in a one-note role. The film just can’t decide what it wants to be—it’s not sharp enough to be clever and not emotional enough to care about. With tired jokes and an ending that tries (and fails) to suddenly get sincere, it’s a tough watch.
