Predator: Killer of Killers

They Shall be your trophy. Become the killer of killers!" What did i just witness? Absolute Banger of an animation Cinema you will ever see. Tbh i am not a huge fan of the Predator franchise, i have only watched the recent movie "PREY" which i loved. This animated movie almost acts like a spiritual successor of that movie. As the above quote mentions, the alien predators go on hunt on earth in different timelines to find a strong Prey, but that prey becomes a predator of aliens. I love how they showed three different timelines as three different anthologies. Each one is so much better than the other. The foundation story it sets up, the action sequence and sleek sexy animation. Valkyrie, Ronin, And Fighter Pilot, anthology consists of stories of these three lethal killers. With the title preceding Shield - Sword - Bullet for each. And all three end up connecting at the end, and there the movie peaks even higher. You also get a PREY movie reference at the end which i loved. You cant really choose which anthology was better, each one is created with such an honest writing and authentic way that you will love all of them. The force of Vikings, the finnese of sword fighting between ronin and samurai and alien, and cunning fighter pilot in the air. And my god those visuals of action sequences with planes are breathtaking, reminds you of Top Gun for sure. Animation is so unique, sleek and smooth. At first you might feel like it is a cheap influence of video game animation. But later you will feel the real quality of it. Nothing short of when you compare it in terms of experience of watching a live action. The movie is not just thrilling , gruesome and full of action, also the way it has told all three stories without compromising any character development is so amazing to see. Where do you see such brilliant stories and character development in an anthology? Each chapter feels like a beautifully illustrated poem of death. It opens up endless Possibilities, the 'Predator' franchise to go into. It's not just a simple alien vs human showdown. It exceeds every expectation you could have about this movie. That's why this predator is more than a cheap thrill, visual storytelling at it best.
