It turns out to be a striking emotional drama because it's a story of all ordinary people, told in such a compelling way and supported by stellar performances. We all had these family secrets and confrontations in our lives, and it's remarkable how he has captured these emotions accurately and painfully in this film. Even when the family heals, it feels like you are healing too. Thats the beauty of it I loved the british dry humour in this, makes it more relatable and enjoyable. It could have easily become cliche melodrama, but with the brilliant writing he mixes humor and emotions in equal measure which makes it compelling drama. It hits all the right emotional buttons and never overdoes it, moves us on a human level.
