left with a broken straw to get what you deserve from an empty pool. Some people break down and die with that straw and some people snap and act of their conscience. This is one such story which takes place in one day. where Janiyah , a struggling single mother trying to live afloat with her ill child but barely making it and one day everything goes hell wire when she caught up in incident which frames her in the wrong way and from there we see sudden shift in genre and becomes a gripping thriller. But in between you will see some emotional moments, some of them were a little melo dramatic and some really hit you hard. But the way it builds up to an ending is really good. And the ending will just throw all your predictions and thoughts out of the window. It unravels a different side of woman/mother struggling in this society on her own and about her mental breakdown. My con with this film is just that it was heavily melodramatic at times, but it makes it up towards the end and Taraji P. Henson's powerful and emotional performance makes it worth watching.
