MAN OF CINEMA
Many films show you what it means to be alive, but this film shows what it
means to push those boundaries higher where being alive doesn't matter and it is overpowered by feeling and madness which is beyond understandable and cannot be expressed.
People who climb mountains in harsh and depressing weather conditions, their journey is fueled by passion in the pursuit of something which cannot be described. That intense desire can only be felt by those who have tasted it and become addicted to it.
This movie highlights that drive, passion and desire of such people who dedicate their life to climbing the highest mountain summits with such detailing and precision in the direction, with a dramatic narration.
The movie is adapted from a manga of the same name, which has five volumes. The whole manga was able to condense it into an hour and a half in a satisfactory and sufficient manner, and it truly surprised me with the good adaptation, smooth narration, with beautiful and stunning animation and maturity of the presentation..
This film holds a somber feeling and sadness, but it isn't depressing, because those climbers who lost their lives climbing don't have any regrets. It shows a different meaning of life, where one doesn't go in search for a meaning of their existence, instead they just climb on a path of happiness only to reach a summit and start all over again. It doesn't have to make sense or reason, and that's what makes them and their life so uniquely fragile yet powerful.
