He also hires Krishnan (Sreenivasan), a fake expert witness, to testify against Hari in court. However, things go wrong when Hari escapes and Krishnan reveals his true identity. The film has some amusing moments, mainly due to Vineeth Sreenivasan and Sreenivasan's comedic timing.Shine Tom Chacko also gives a pretty good performance as the innocent Hari.However, the rest of the cast is wasted in insignificant roles.The female characters are especially sidelined and have no impact on the story.The movie also fails to create any suspense or thrill in the murder mystery.The investigation is poorly executed and relies on illogical and convenient twists.The climax is over-the-top and unrealistic, with a sudden revelation of the real culprit.The film also tries to convey a message about the dark side of social networks but is too superficial and preachy.The film's effects are also poor.Unni Elayaraja's music is forgettable and doesn't fit the mood of the film.Jibu Jacob's cinematography is dull and unimaginative.Ranjan Abraham's editing is choppy and inconsistent, causing the film to run over two hours. Kurukkan is a disappointing film as it fails to deliver on its promise of being a fun and entertaining crime comedy.It's neither funny nor interesting and ends up being a boring, predictable affair.
