Khalid Rahman in his recent interview said that his latest offering was not
plot heavy and just purely vibe material. Also his understanding of the young psyche is just top notch . This film starring the young star naslen and many other wonderful characters are just bunch of nobody’s who don’t want to achieve anything huge . After failing their 12th boards , they decide to learn boxing so that it provides grace marks for them to get into college through sports quota .. There is no love for the sport or the determination to succeed in the state level competition. They just behave like normal small town youngsters . Another refreshing take was how the hero reacts to girls rejecting them . There is no cussing the girls or singing stupid songs . Even when there are losses there are no monologues or huge emotional upheavals. They just pick themselves up and move on . Even the ending part is a riot and and not what you would possibly expect . My only problem was the Lukman character cos it’s underdeveloped . We don’t know what exactly he’s going though, his anger management issues or the apparent issues he’s having with the federation.Khalid Rahman , Jimshi khalid , the late editor Nishad Yusuf are very original voices and just pure vibe materials and I’ll be seated every time they make something.
