This lighthearted social comedy cleverly uses death as a backdrop to satirize
society, blending dark humor, sharp social commentary, and emotional depth. Trivandrum-based writer-director Vipin S brings authenticity to the film, ensuring the dialogues feel natural and that the local dialect is woven in seamlessly rather than as a forced gimmick.
The characters are deeply relatable, reflecting the people around us and prompting audiences to contemplate some serious, thought-provoking questions. While the premise is compelling, the execution is a bit uneven, with moments of emotional weight occasionally lost in the narrative. The performances, however, are strong—each actor brings sincerity to their role, with interactions swinging between genuine emotion and unexpected comedy.
Some situational humor lands well, while a few moments don’t quite hit the mark. Still, for those who appreciate character-driven stories with a satirical edge, this film offers an engaging mix of humor and realism. It may not break new ground, but it certainly makes for an intriguing watch.
